Why is a white, blank screen so intimidating? I guess it’s because this is the very first time I have written a “blog.” (It wasn’t too many years ago that the word, blog, would have been assumed to be just a made up word. Yet, here we are….blogging.)

So, what is this blog going to be about, you ask? Well, as I write this first entry, I am fifty-nine-and-a-half-years-old and facing my final two weeks of conventional corporate employment. Having spent 36 years as a systems engineer, I am ready to do something different. I intend to document my journey via this blog, sharing what I learn along the way. I invite you to come along for the ride. Who knows? Maybe we’ll both learn a few things!
