Living above the Line

I bet you’re wondering what that means. Well, it has several concepts woven into it. Let me explain…

Imagine a line between life and death. While our hearts beat, we fluctuate between these two worlds. As long as the beat continues, there is life:

Lubb-Dupp…Lubb-Dupp…Lubb-Dupp. When the heart stops, that line becomes immovable and is referred to as a “flat-line.” So, anything we can do to elevate the frequency of our bodies, minds, and spirits helps to keep us “above the line.” For instance,

Authentic vs Artificial

Just do you. There is no reason to pretend to be someone you are not. When we are comfortable in our own skin, we become more approachable and even magnetic. The world needs authentic people. There are way too many “fake” ones out there.

Excellent vs Mediocre

No one can be an expert at everything but we can all strive for excellence in everything we do.

“When you embrace excellence in your life and business, you are embracing your unique design with the tools and resources you currently have.” ~ Monique Mclean

Generous vs Miserly

“It is in giving that we receive.” ~ Francis of Assisi
“Money is but one venue for generosity. Kindness is an even more valuable currency.” ~ Alan Cohen
“I believe there is a reason that the word, miser, and the word, misery, have the same root.” ~ Susan J Canon

Positive vs Negative

Let’s face it, there are tons of situations we encounter in our daily lives over which we have little or no control. So, how do we respond? Well, we each have a choice, don’t we? We can look for the best or assume the worst. Which choice do you think is above the line and which is below it? Hmmm?

Proactive vs Reactive

Very few plan to fail but many fail to plan. When we live in the present while looking to the future, we can take action to sculpt at least a portion of what that future will hold. When we have no thought of tomorrow, we are caught off-guard and often fall into panic mode where all we can do is react to our circumstances. Take some time to dream and to plan and you’ll stay above the line.

Wealthy vs Destitute

Please hear my heart, here. Being wealthy is not necessarily a financial thing, although there is nothing wrong with being entrusted with lots of money. Wealth is simply an abundance of a valuable resource. Those resources might be trusted relationships, confidence, knowledge, wisdom, talents, ideas, or…money. The goal of this business is to bring wealth to every area of our lives.

Easter 2022: Where has the time gone?

WOW! A lot has happened since I started this blog six months ago. Let’s see… First of all, I want to say, “Happy Easter!” to everyone! Leading up to Easter, I shared the following video on my Facebook Fan Page that I originally posted on my YouTube channel as part of a 90-day video challenge…

The Gift of Giving

Back in 2006, a movie came out called, “The Ultimate Gift,”, starring James Garner as a deceased billionaire who leaves a collection of ‘gifts’ to his spoiled grandson. Each ‘gift’ is actually a task that is intended to result in a life lesson for the young man, with the final task resulting in “The Ultimate…

What day is it, anyway?

A few years ago, when a coworker was getting ready to retire, I bought her a clock that I found humorous. Rather than being marked with only the hours of the day, it had an extra ‘hand’ to mark the day of the week. It was funny, then. Now, I’m starting to wish I had…
